WhatsApp’s click to chat feature allows you to chat with someone without having their phone number stored in your phone’s address book. As long as you have this person’s phone number and they have an active WhatsApp account, you can create a link to start a chat with them. When you click on this link, a chat with this person will automatically open. Click to chat works on both your phone and WhatsApp Web.
Create your own link
Go to https://wa.me/< number>. '< number>' is the complete phone number in international format. Do not use zeros, brackets, or dashes.
Examples :
Use : https://wa.me/1XXXXXXXXXX
Do not use : https://wa.me/+001-(XXX)XXXXXXX
Create your own link with a pre-filled message
This pre-populated message will automatically appear in the text field of the message that's about to be send.
Use: https://wa.me/whatsappphonenumber?text=urlencodedtext.
where <whatsappphonenumber> is the complete phone number in international format and url encoded text is the url encoded pre-populated message.
Example : https://wa.me/31610062534?text=I %20heb% 20interest %20in% 20th %20auto% 20that %20te% 20buy%20state
To link with just a pre-populated message, use https://wa.me/?text=urlencodedtext
Example : https://wa.me/?text=I %20wil% 20information %20over% 20apartment%20dat %20te% 20rent%20
Clicking on this link will bring up a list of contacts to whom you can send your message.
