Connect extra WhatsApp number

If your plan allows it, you can add an extra WhatsApp channel to the platform. You can do this by going to settings → channels and clicking the button ‘Connect with Cloud API’.

To create a WhatsApp channel with the Cloud API option, you need:

  • An admin user in the Meta Business Suite with full rights

  • A phone number that can receive a verification code by text message or phone call

  • A credit card that can be added as a payment method in the Meta Business Suite (used to charge template costs)

If you cannot provide a credit card, you can create a WhatsApp channel by selecting the button ‘Connect with Bird API’. With this option, you need:

  • An admin user in the Meta Business Suite with full rights

  • A phone number that can receive a verification code by text message or phone call

  • No credit card is required
